Build longhouses, sail stormy seas and take on mythical bosses, ideally with a group of friends.
As a fallen Viking warrior you are dropped into a vast, randomly generated afterlife and have to prove yourself by defeating a series of mighty bosses. In between you chop wood, build shelters that grow into proper halls, cook, craft better gear and set sail for new lands.
Valheim came out in early access in 2021 and has grown with large free updates since. It is playable alone, but it really comes alive when a few friends share a world and split the work.
